The illustrious
Green jacket- Made in England
With
the Masters teeing off today, Perry Club thought it would gain an insight into
the manufacturing journey of the famous jacket.
The
first jackets were made by the Brooks Uniform Company in New York. However they
proved not to be popular with members of the Augusta National Golf Club due to
the thick material that was used.
The modern Green jacket cloth is now woven,
dyed and finished in West Yorkshire – close to our factory! Just like our own blazers all aspects of the
green jacket are today Made in England.
