With the cricket
world cup in Australia well under way it is amazing to think that female
cricketing has a 140 year old history – in Australia at least........

Interestingly enough it seems that cricket has more links to
the Perry brand than first anticipated.
When delving into its history it seems that business managers in
Australia in the 1930’s allowed their hard working female factory workers an
afternoon off a week to play cricket; this was thought to have boosted morale
and efficiency. Could husband and wife cricketing partnerships be better for
morale?
With the disappointment of England’s recent World Cup “disaster”
and the Australian media yet again revelling in every moment of it, is now the
time to put more emphasis on Women's cricket in dear old Blighty – wet summer or
no!
